Deanne, I wondered what happened to you. Nice to have you back.
Since you mention the prospect of reviews from others: at what point in
the schedule will that happen?
Bob

Hello Everyone,
I'm back after a short hiatus from the Scorecard project, writing grants
and taking vacation. Thank you Caitlin and Frances for competent
leadership through this writing and production process. The calendar
below is very helpful; it appears that we are on schedule and the
product is looking great. I agree that we should stay on track although
I am not opposed to asking ourselves some big questions about what we
have done at the next meeting. We are likely to get some left-field
comments when we get reviews from others, and it can't hurt to prepare.
Dec 5 is already a double-booker for me, so I'm hoping we can do our
Team Meeting on the 4th.
Great work, everybody!
Deanne

Hi all,
I didn't mean to throw a wrench in the works by making these
suggestions out of the blue, right after so much work has just been
finished on our report. Let's try this email again:
Thanks for all the long, hard work on the indicators and indexes
for the Watershed Health Scorecard. It's clear that this group is
dedicated to the goals of this project. This is going to be a Technical
Report that will stand up to close scrutiny!
Here is a calendar for the remainder of the project.
By 11/24/08: Frances and I will stitch together the revised
pieces into the next version of the two Technical Reports. Lisa and I
will closely read the new drafts, and meet on Halloween to talk about
remaining technical issues and choices. We'll edit the documents, and
have them back to you for review by November 24. By this time, we'll
also do a budget check-in with subcontractors.
12/4/08 or 12/5/08: Team meeting on one of these days to iron
out remaining technical issues.
After this meeting, we'll provide instructions and assistance
for posting indicator data and metadata online. Frances and I will
prepare a draft Scorecard report, pulling from the other products.
Frances will take the lead on revising the Scorecard based on the
Technical Report.
Funder deadline 12/31/08: Drafts complete for Scorecards,
Scorecard Reports, and Technical Reports. Data and metadata posted
online.
Last week of January 2009: Last team meeting before products are
finalized.
Funder deadline 2/28/09: final Scorecards, Scorecard Reports,
and Technical Reports.
Funder deadline 3/30/09: print 2000 of each Scorecard
Funder deadline 4/30/09: report on dissemination and publicity
activities.
Project ends: 5/31/09
Thanks again for the focus and energy put into this project.
Please be in touch with any concerns or suggestions.
