[Scorecard] Assignments from 12.04 meeting

Hi, 

Thanks for a great meeting last week.  To find out what you should be
working on now, see the Notes below (word version is attached).  

Find the templates to fill out (by Dec 19) attached to this email.
These templates have been updated since the 12.04 meeting. 

 

If anyone remembers something I've missed (especially assignments),
please let the team know!

Assignments and Notes from 12.04.08 Scorecard Meeting

1.      Calendar

technical authors submit draft data and metadata to Pat Stiefer at SEC.

Dec 19

technical authors submit template (with 3 tables completed)

Dec 31

Document editors revise & submit to funder: draft tech reports,
scorecards, scorecard reports, data and metadata.

Jan 9

technical authors submit revisions of their sections. Re-assemble.

Jan 23

peer reviews complete. Instructions/questions for reviewers.
Re-assemble.

Jan 27

last team meeting. More assignments likely. Revise

Feb 20

last opportunity for input from technical authors.

Feb 28

document editors submit to funder the final tech reports, scorecards,
scorecard reports, data, metadata.

 

2.      Everyone's revisions should reflect the following decisions &
comments

a.       Review sections for missing pieces (tables, figures, etc.)

b.      New scorecard structure.

c.       Scoring on an annual basis. This will be a 2007 scorecard.

d.      Need to estimate variance. Lisa for consults. Use standard
error. (see template tables)

e.       Need to clarify logic process. (see template tables)

f.       Explore 3-increment scoring. (see template tables)

g.       Need to make assumptions and hypotheses explicit.

h.      Need to link indicators to other indicators and to conceptual
model.

i.        Try to include low flow. Discuss more offline (Lisa, Bob,
Peter), someone re-write.

 

3.      Additional tech report tasks for individuals, to be worked on
immediately

a.       Alex: 1. create maps. 

       2. Surface storage (Sonoma) write up to reflect why not included
as water quant indicator

b.      Peter (in order of priority): 

       1. imported/total water metric (for water independence
indicator). 

                      2. water balance & corresponding pie charts. 

                      3. sustainable policies indicator. 

c.       Lisa: 1. write recommendation for dry streams for Napa. 

      2. revise & place Mik's model. 

      3. revise and elaborate conceptual model (Frances will help if
needed). 

d.      Kat: finish recycled water metric, including statistical
analyses. 

e.       Frances: Stewardship intro.

 

4.  Review assignments, to be worked on Jan 9 - 23

a. Alex: review impervious area/infiltration

b. Peter: review natural supply, storage, stream indicators 

c. Chris: review water storage, natural supply, stream indicators, water
independence.

d. Caitlin: review water use efficiency.

e. Lisa: review all

f. Tina: review introductory text of tech report, and scorecard report.

 

5.  Still to resolve

*	Do water budgets?? Put as discussion in Peter's section. Pie
charts. 
*	What to name index: landscape permeability vs water infiltration
vs. landscape infiltration.
*	Sustainable policy indicator has not yet been scored. If peter
scores it, we can include.
*	Add scoring table to indicator sections of tech report. Bins,
score, range of values. Template will come shortly.
